Managing Max Purchase Quantity Limits (MPQL) for Customer Orders

Max Purchase Quantity Limits (MPQL) allow you to control the quantity of a product each customer can buy. It's a useful feature for managing various scenarios such as special sales, limited stock availability, or ensuring fairness in distribution. Here's how you can utilize this feature within our software for your home delivery business:

Setting Max Purchase Quantity Limits:

1. Navigate to the "Products" page in the admin panel of our software.
2. Edit the product for which you want to set the purchase quantity limit.
3. Click on the "Advanced" button to access additional settings.
4. Locate the "Max Purchase Quantity per Customer" field and enter the desired limit.
5. Save the changes by clicking any of the "Save" buttons.

How it Works for Customers:

When customers visit your online shop, the system will display a message alongside products that have an MPQL set. This message informs customers about the purchase limit, stating "Limit: x per customer." If a customer attempts to add more than the allowed quantity to their cart, the system will prevent them from doing so and display a notification that they have reached the limit.

Abuse Alert System:

To ensure compliance with the set limits, we have an automated robot in place. This robot actively scans orders to identify any instances where the purchase limit has been exceeded. If such an order is detected, the following actions take place:

• A note is added to the customer's account.
• A log entry is generated on the customer's account.
• The quantity of the product in the customer's order is automatically adjusted to match the set limit.

This proactive measure acts as an added layer of protection against any potential misuse. Any alerts placed on customer accounts will also be visible on your dashboard, allowing you to stay informed.

Filtering on the Product Page:

On the "Products" page within the admin panel, we have introduced a helpful filter. Clicking the "Filters" button reveals a new checkbox labeled "Max Purchase Quantity Limit > 0". By enabling this checkbox, the page will display only those products that have an MPQL set. This convenient filter helps you quickly identify which products are utilizing the MPQL feature.
