2025-02-17 New Pause Feature
Hey folks!
It was a busy early winter here — I finished a huge update of the admin side (mostly for mobile), and that is now fully deployed. This was an enormous update that took far longer than I was hoping for, but I'm happy the admin is more mobile-friendly now.
One cool feature I’d like to point out is the ability to create a new product listing based on uploading an image. Just go to Products → Add Product, then upload an image — we use AI to try to generate as complete a listing as we can. Then you can edit the listing.
Coming up next, some customer-facing features to help reduce churn:
- On the Subscription Reports page, there is a new table showing how many active customers are on each schedule.
- On the Cancellations page, there's a button to generate an AI Summary of the search results, providing insights that might not be obvious.
- When a customer clicks "skip delivery", it gives them the option to also pause their account.
- When a customer clicks "cancel account", they are first brought to a "Need a break? Want to pause?" page that gives them the option of pausing for 1, 2, 3, 4 weeks, or until a custom date.
- Schedule page now has a link to the pause feature.
- Mobile Customer Menu now shows shop images next to shop titles.
New Admin Features:
- New reports page called "Subscriptions Paused" showing all pauses in the system.
- Records where the pause was initiated.
Records why the pause was un-paused (could be useful data).
On the Customer Home Page:
- Bundles that do not allow subbing are now displayed as a single line item with the rest of the add-ons (was ugly before).
- Empty brackets no longer display if the add-on unit is blank.
Spaced out the quantity display to improve clarity.
When viewing a customer account in the admin:
- Click the sparkles icon ✨ at the top of the page to chat with AI about the current user.
- Includes customer data (orders, logs, schedule, etc).
- All previous conversations are saved.
- Not sure how useful this is yet.
- New admin menu tab called "AI" where new AI features will be collected.
